In August 2024, I collaborated with Auckland wellness centre Float Culture to create The Sound Bath Experience: a sold-out 90-minute immersive experience developed specifically for their community.
Float Culture's audience was already familiar with deep relaxation through float therapy, so the opportunity was to explore a similar destination through a completely different sensory medium. I developed an experience using crystal singing bowls and sound alongside breathwork, somatic reflection, scent, meditation and sensory ritual, with the journey framed around progressively slower brainwave states.
The experience was designed as more than a traditional sound bath. Participants were guided through an intentional transition out of the activity of the day and towards stillness, using embodied reflection and sensory cues to support attention moving progressively inward.
I developed the experience concept, session structure and supporting materials, while Float Culture brought it to their existing wellness audience through their own channels.
The event sold out at its 20-person capacity.
